Sometimes last year, the Kaduna State University Alumni Association embarked on a landmark project to remodel and restructure the Vice-Chancellor’s Office, with the primary objective of enhancing the image, visibility, and corporate identity of the university.
Today (1/4/2026), the National President of the Association, Malam Abdulhadi Abdullahi, officially handed over the fully refurbished and aesthetically improved office to the Vice-Chancellor and the university management.
In a guided tour, the National President took the audience through every section of the remodeled office, explaining the design elements and the significance behind each detail.
In his remarks, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abdullahi I. Musa, expressed profound gratitude to the Alumni Association for their unwavering commitment and passion. He prayed that Almighty Allah continue to shower His blessings upon the office and the university community, describing the renovation as “the beginning of continuous blessings and the attainment of excellence.”
Commissioning the office on behalf of the University Council, Management, and Senate, the Vice-Chancellor reaffirmed that “the Alumni Association remains the most valuable stakeholder of this university.” He commended the Association for its numerous impactful programs and projects that, in his words, “continue to transform the image and reputation of the institution.”
He also reminded the audience that alumni engagement begins from the moment a student is admitted, emphasizing that the manner in which the university treats its students greatly influences how they later give back as graduates. He urged all staff to remain sensitive and responsive to students’ needs.
Also present at the opening were, the Deputy Vice Chancellor Administration, Prof. Bashir Ali; the DVC, Academics, Prof. Yushau Ango; the DVC, Strategy, Innovation and Service Delivery, Prof. Helen A. Andow; the University’s Registrar, Barr. Samira Balarabe Kubau (Gimbiyar Kubau); the University’s Bursar, Haj. Hauwau Dalhat; the Provost CCMSS, Prof. Gimba V. Kyari; HoDs, Executives and Members of the Association and students.
The Kaduna State University Alumni Association remains resolute in its mission to support the development of the university. It will continue to identify opportunities for meaningful intervention, with the sacrosanct objective of preserving and advancing the image and excellence of Kaduna State University.
